Key Specifications
-
- Material & Structure: PTFE (Teflon) resin coated on a strong fiberglass fabric base substrate.
- Width: 15mm.
- Temperature Tolerance: Functions reliably from -70°C up to +300°C.
- Adhesive Type: Heat-resistant silicone adhesive.
- Color: Metallic Brown / Tan.
Primary Applications
-
- Electronics & Motherboard Rework: Acts as an excellent thermal shield during BGA reballing, IC reflow, and hot-air soldering. It covers and insulates sensitive SMD parts, plastic clips, or nearby connectors to prevent warping or accidental heat damage.
- Electrical Insulation: Provides superior high-voltage insulation and anti-static shielding for complex board-level electronics.
- Vacuum Sealers & Machinery: Used extensively to line the heating bars of vacuum sealers, impulse sealers, and hot-stamping equipment to ensure a smooth glide without plastic film sticking to the heating element.
Product Alternatives
- If you are primarily doing delicate micro-soldering where transparent visibility or ultra-thin profiling is required, standard Polyimide (Kapton) Tape is a common alternative. However, Teflon-coated fiberglass offers far better anti-blocking (non-stick) properties and structural abrasion resistance.
