Distinguishing the Two Flex Cables
When ordering, make sure you choose the exact cable variant you need, as there are two completely different flex cables running inside the X6850:
- The Charging Port Board (Dock Flex): This is the small rigid PCB piece located at the very bottom of the phone. It holds the physical USB Type-C port, SIM card jack, and lower microphone. Replace this if your charger won’t physically plug in or if the device does not register electrical current.
- The Main Motherboard Flex (Interconnect Cable): This is a long, ribbon-like Main Flex Motherboard Connector Cable. It bridges the bottom charging board up to the main top motherboard. Replace this if the bottom board is fine but power signals or display paths are disrupted.
