How to Use the MG-R6 Refresher
  1. Heat the Iron: Turn on your soldering station and let the tip reach normal operating temperature (typically between 300°C to 360°C).
  2. Dip the Tip: Directly thrust the hot, oxidized tip into the MASTERGO MG-R6 paste. Hold it there for a few seconds while the paste melts and chemically removes the oxidation layer.
  3. Re-tin and Clean: As the paste melts, it coats the tip in a fresh layer of tin. Wipe the excess residue off using a brass wire sponge or damp cleaning sponge.
  4. Repeat if Needed: For severely burned or black iron tips, repeat the process 2 to 3 times until the tip looks bright silver and shiny again.
