Available Options
- Oppo A72 4G (Model CPH2067) Charging Board: This board is universally shared with the Oppo A52 and Oppo A92. It features an integrated Type-C port, a microphone, and an IC chip that supports original fast charging.
- Oppo A72 5G Charging Board: A distinct replacement assembly specifically layout-engineered for the 5G motherboard layout and antennas.
- Main Motherboard Interconnect Flex: If your port is physically fine but the main board isn’t communicating with the lower daughterboard, you may alternatively need the long ribbon cable that bridges the two.
What to Look For When Buying
- IC Component & Fast Charging: Cheap, non-OEM aftermarket boards often lack the necessary integrated circuits (ICs), meaning your phone will charge safely but will not support quick charging. Look for parts explicitly labeled “With IC” or “Supports Fast Charging”.
- Integrated Parts: A high-quality charging dock board always comes pre-soldered with the USB Type-C port, the primary microphone, and the headphone jack assembly.
Quick Repair Overview
If you choose to do a DIY replacement, the process generally follows these steps:
- Heat and remove the back cover using a thin plastic pry card to slice the adhesive.
- Unscrew the intermediate housing and disconnect the fingerprint reader sensor.
- Disconnect the battery first to completely kill electrical current and prevent short circuits.
- Remove the lower speaker module to expose the auxiliary charging sub-board.
- Unplug the interconnect flex and coaxial signal cable, pop the old board out, and fit the new one in place.
