Key Specifications & Measurement Ranges
Unlike the auto-ranging UT33A+, the UT33D+ relies on manual range selection using a smooth, ergonomically designed rotary dial.
- Display Count: 2,000 counts with a clear, backlit LCD screen
- DC Voltage: 200mV to 600V (Accuracy: ±(0.5% + 2))
- AC Voltage: 200V to 600V (Accuracy: ±(1.2% + 3))
- DC Current: 2000μA to 10A (Accuracy: ±(1% + 2))
- Resistance: 200Ω to 200MΩ (Accuracy: ±(0.8% + 2))
- Power Source: Two 1.5V R03 (AAA) batteries
- Dimensions & Weight: 134mm x 77mm x 47mm; approximately 206 grams
Core Features & Standout Strengths
- Non-Contact Voltage (NCV) Tester: The definitive feature of the “D+” variant. It safely detects live AC wiring and wall outlets without making physical contact.
- Durable & Safe Outer Shell: Enclosed in a comfortable, protective rubber sleeve that includes integrated test lead hanging slots for neat storage.
- Loud Continuity Buzzer: Features a highly responsive and remarkably loud continuity buzzer (~77 dB), making it easy to hear in noisy environments.
- Smart Power Management: Automatically turns off the screen backlight after ~45 seconds and powers down the device entirely when idle to conserve battery life.
- Diode Testing: Built-in diode check function providing an output voltage of roughly 2.25V, capable of illuminating standard red, yellow, and green LEDs.
Known Limitations
- No AC Current Measurement: It is limited strictly to DC current testing.
- Not for High-Power Industrial Use: With a CAT II 600V rating, it is designed for household appliances and standard outlets. It should not be used on heavy industrial electrical mains or high-voltage lines.
- Manual Ranging: You must manually select the appropriate measurement threshold, which might slow down workflows compared to auto-ranging meters.
